SUPERSOLIS

Supersolis is a fictional star created by Coldplay for the concept of their ninth studio album, Music of the Spheres. It is the sixth celestial body on The Spheres solar system and represents the song "Human Heart", the sixth track on the album.

Overview[]

Supersolis is the star located at the centre of The Spheres, making it its only sun. It is the second-largest celestial body in the system, after celestial object Coloratura. Supersolis' official language is Supersolar and the star is occasionally dubbed as a planet, as seen on the music video for "My Universe" and on Spotify's Storyline for Music of the Spheres, with the latter labelling it “the fire planet”.[1]

Etymology[]

  • Supersolis' name literally means "giant sun". "Super-" is a prefix which denotes largeness, while "solis" is derived from the word "sol", which means "sun" in Latin and Spanish.
