"Help Is Round the Corner" is a song by Coldplay and the first B-Side of the single "Yellow".

Recording and composition[]

The song was created in the midst of the hurriedness of the recording sessions of "Yellow", being recorded in a Times Square studio, with the windows of the mixing room left open. Due to this, a taxi horn is audible at the end of the song.[1] It features Chris Martin's vocals and an acoustic guitar as he sings about resilience, recovery and seeking help.[2]

"Help Is Round the Corner" is the first B-Side on the "Yellow" single, along with "No More Keeping My Feet on the Ground", originally from Safety E.P. (1998).

Lyrics[]

[Verse 1]
Stuck here, in the middle of nowhere
With a headache and a heavy heart
Oh, well nothing was going quite right here
And I'm tired, I can't play my part

[Chorus]
Oh, come on, come on
Oh, what a state I'm in
Oh, come on, come on
Why won't it just sink in?
That help is just around the corner for us

[Verse 2]
Oh, my head just won't stop aching
And I'm sat here licking my wounds
And I'm shattered but it really doesn't matter
'Cause my rescue is gonna be here soon

[Chorus]
Oh, come on, come on
Oh, what a state I'm in
Oh, come on, come on
Why won't it just sink in?
Help is just around the corner for us
That help is just around the corner for us
Oh that help is just around the corner for us
