Alien Choir

"Alien Choir" (stylised as "") is a song by Coldplay from their ninth studio album, Music of the Spheres (2021). It is the fourth track on the album. On the concept of the album, the track represents Kubik, the fifth planet on The Spheres solar system.

"Alien Choir" was written by all Coldplay members, album producer Max Martin, and English musician and producer Jon Hopkins, which also co-produced the track. Will Champion described it as “a great moment in the record” and thanked Hopkins for helping the band “create a 'tail’ at the end of 'Humankind' which sounded like the song being sucked into a black hole and then we emerge in to the calm on the other side.”^[2] The song features “spectral keyboards”^[3] with “lush, spacious ambient textures”,^[4] and segues after the end of the previous track, "Humankind".

"Alien Choir" is the second out of five tracks on the album to have its title stylised as an emoji; the others are: "Music of the Spheres", "Human Heart", "Music of the Spheres II", and "Infinity Sign".
